Russians destroy Ukraine’s largest printing house
One of the largest printing houses in both Ukraine and Europe became the target of a russian attack on Kharkiv. Russian missiles struck one of Ukraine’s largest printing factories, Printing house FactorDruk, in Kharkiv.
At the time of the attack, 50 employees were at their workstations. The missile strikes resulted in the deaths of seven people and injured 21 others.
Every third book published in the country was printed by “Faktor-Druk”. This printing house produced books on Ukrainian history, children’s literature, textbooks, journalism, magazines, and newspapers.
In the aftermath of this reprehensible act, President Zelensky condemned the attack, stating, “russia’s strike on the Kharkiv region, which resulted in loss of life, injury, and the destruction of a printing house, along with the incineration of 50,000 books, demonstrates that Russia is waging war against humanity and all aspects of normal life. russian terrorists kill adults and children, destroy cities and villages, leaving scorched earth where normal life once existed.”
Russia’s relentless aggression not only threatens the lives of Ukrainians but also seeks to obliterate their culture, language, and literary heritage. It is evident that russia persists in its campaign of terror against Ukraine, sparing no institution or aspect of civilized society.
Russia is a terrorist state that shows blatant disregard for human life and cultural heritage.
